My Work Experience


I started my career right after high school. At the beginning, my computer skills were limited as I worked in jobs that are not IT-related but I took computers as a hobby at first then turned it into passion and a career.
I worked in many companies as a part-time job or on a temporary basis to implement or configure their IT infrastructure, to create websites, or to manage their cloud solutions.
Here is a summary of my full-time work experience:

SAAD GROUP • Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia • Mar 2007 – July 2018

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR 
  • Implementing, administering, and monitoring Active Directory Domains, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Designing and Managing Group Policy and Active Directory services in the whole AD Forest.
  • Implementing file system structure for the whole Organization with the proper permissions and auditing.
  • Backup of critical data of the file servers, the Exchange server, and the application servers. 
  • Designing, implementing, and administering disaster recovery and business continuity systems, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Monitoring the Internet activities, assigning policies, generating reports, and implementing necessary changes and configurations on the Proxy servers.
  • Managing the security of the servers and the client computers using Kaspersky Security Center.
  • Managing, administering, and maintaining the virtual environment.
  • Administering and configuring the back-end Exchange servers and the front-end email security appliances.
  • Troubleshooting and configuring the different Organizational application servers.
  • Installing new/rebuilding existing servers and configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT SUPERVISOR
  • Supervising the Technical Support Team.
  • Creating and maintaining policies and strategies to meet users and management satisfaction.
  • Assigning permissions for technical support staff as per requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation needed by support staff, including troubleshooting steps, installation instructions, new tools overviews, and contact lists.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER:
  • Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.
  • Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues.
  • Researching and identifying solutions to software and hardware issues.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, including account setup and network configuration.
  • Properly escalating unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers).
  • Prioritizing and managing several open issues at one time.
  • Following up with users to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting.
  • Deploying hardware, software and OSs using variety of different techniques and procedures.
  • Creating, changing, and deleting user accounts per request.

IT SUPERVISOR
  • Addressing users’ issues regarding hardware, software, and networking.
  • Conducting on-site and remote troubleshooting.
  • Designing, planning, implementing, and maintaining the whole IT infrastructure.
  • Administering the DCs, the file servers, the backup servers, the proxy servers, and the corporate website.
  • Administering and maintaining the Retail Pro application (Enterprise retail and inventory solution) and QuickBooks (accounting application), and developing a documentation needed by the end users, including instructions on data entry, generating invoices, synchronizing data with the main server, running reports, and conducting inventory.

It was a small establishment, so I handled many positions at the same time including Technical Support, Personal Assistant to the General Manager, and Sales Coordinator.

I worked as a Cashier, a Salesman, and a Personal Assistant to the General Manager.
